Mr. Abdullah Khan Sumbal is a Pakistan Administrative Service officer who is currently the Commissioner of Lahore Division in Lahore. He possesses an MA in Economics from the University of the Punjab, Lahore, as well as an MSc in Development Administration and Planning from University College London, UK.

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan Abdullah Khan Sumbal, the Interior Secretary, died on Wednesday in Lahore after a long illness. Sumbal, who had been sick for some years, was appointed interior secretary on August 20, 2023.
He formerly served as the Chief Secretary of Punjab and the Commissioner of Lahore. He died in Lahore while being transferred there due to his failing condition. He died on the way to the hospital.
On this solemn occasion, Minister of Interior Sarfaraz Ahmed Bugti conveyed his profound condolences to Sumbal’s family.
