Sanjeeda Sheikh Wikipedia
Sanjeeda Sheikh (born December 20, 1984) is an Indian actress who appears in Hindi films and television.[3] Sheikh is most known for her role as Namrata “Nimmo” Mathuria in Kyaa Hoga Nimmo Kaa.
She has also acted in Taish alongside several outstanding co-stars, including Ayesha Shergill in Kayamath, Nitya Goenka/Durga in Ek Hasina Thi,
and Kamini Mathur in Love Ka Hai Intezaar. Sheikh has since appeared in other films, including Taish (2020), Kaali Khuhi (2020), Fighter (2024), and the online series Heeramandi (2024).
She was born in Kuwait to a Muslim family originally from Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
On March 2, 2012, she married her longtime boyfriend, Aamir Ali. In August 2020, it was disclosed that the couple had a one-year-old daughter named Ayra Ali through surrogacy. The pair split in 2020 after 8 years of marriage and were awarded divorce in 2021, with Sheikh receiving custody of their daughter.
Career
Sanjeeda has had several parts in television soap operas. She made her acting debut as Nimmo in the 2005 television series Kyaa Hoga Nimmo Kaa. Following that, she played a vampire in the 2007 Star Plus series Kayamath. In the same year, she competed in a dancing competition show called Nach Baliye 3 with her husband Aamir Ali, and they won.
She co-starred with Aamir Ali in the 2008 series Kya Dill Main Hai, which aired on 9X.
In the 2014 film Ek Hasina Thi, Sheikh played Durga Thakur, an ambitious and assertive young woman seeking justice for her sister. The serial was a watershed moment in her career, with reviewers and audiences praising her performance, and it was one of Star Plus’s most successful series at the time.
Sheikh made her acting debut as Dhani in Ishq Ka Rang Safed in 2016, playing the mother of a 5-year-old child.
