Early life and background
Sarfaraz was born and raised in Mumbai’s outskirts. Azad Maidan was where he spent the majority of his boyhood. There, his father and coach, Naushad Khan, groomed young cricketers like Iqbal Abdulla and Kamran Khan. His father found his knack for ball timing at a young age and began tutoring him.
Because it was difficult for him to get to the maidan (grounds) from his home in the suburbs during monsoon season, a synthetic pitch was put beside his house for practice. “Not only does it save us time and energy, but it has also helped him get used to the bouncy wickets he will have to deal with later on,” his father said.

Career
Sarfaraz has been involved with cricket since he was a child. His father was a cricketer as well, however he never represented India. Sarfaraz’s ambition was to follow in his father’s footsteps and join the Indian cricket squad. He spends the majority of his time at Azad Maidan practicing cricket.
